AFCC is Tuition Free
Register to Reserve a Space for your Child
After reading through the details of our 2015-16 season, please visit and fill out the American Fork Children’s Choir Registration form to reserve a spot in the choir. Though we will take as many new students as we are able, completing this form does not guarantee a spot in AFCC. Once we reach our maximum enrollment, new students will be placed on a waiting list and notified when an opening becomes available.
2015-16 Season Details
CHOIR BEGINS AUGUST 24th
NEW & RETURNING STUDENTS WELCOME for the 2015-16 Season
Monday, Aug 24th, 3-5pm at Historic City Hall (31 N Church St) will be a rehearsal for ALL students, new and returning. If you cannot attend this rehearsal, please contact email@example.com to schedule a placement interview.
Beginning Aug 31st rehearsals are held weekly on Mondays (except for Alpine School District Holidays), at Historic City Hall, 31 N Church St. in American Fork.
- 3-5pm : 2-part Choir
- 4:15-5pm : Unison Choir
Students are asked to commit to the entire season.
The children will present their major concerts on Dec 14th, Mar 28th & May 23rd. A low admission fee is charged at these major concerts to help offset the costs of music, music licensing, classroom supplies, etc. which are not covered by our grant.
A minor concert is currently scheduled for Oct 30th at the Happy Valley Farmer’s Market.
There may also be additional charity and good will performances (TBA). For example, AFCC has performed at rest homes (Christmas time), civic functions (The 100th Anniversary of the Alpine Tabernacle) and even at a major book release. Usually we only do one or two of these kinds of performances a semester.
The choir will be working to release at least one new video for each of the major concerts this year. These may be animated or live action depending on the songs chosen. Children will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in helping create these videos (ex. creating artwork or acting in a scene). The director of the choir donates his time to do the recording, editing and animation for these videos. You can see examples of videos that were created in AFCC’s 2015 Summer Camp below:
